Commercial Credit Analyst

Tech Park, South Burlington

Hours: 40-hour week 8:30-5:00, Monday-Friday. May have additional hours, outside normal hours, as circumstances dictate

Position Description: The primary responsibilities for the Commercial Credit Analyst are to assist the Business Lending Portfolio Manager with commercial loan portfolio management and assist the Business Lending Officers with problem loan workout and resolution. This exempt position will perform independent comprehensive credit analysis on simple to moderately complex commercial loan relationships for new loans, renewals, modifications and annual reviews. Specific Duties Include: • Provide loan analysis and Loan Approval Report support for the Business Lending team to assist in growing the Business Lending portfolio. • Participate in monitoring and managing risk within commercial loan portfolio by: o performing timely and detailed commercial credit analysis for simple to moderately complex commercial relationships, o participating in administration of the annual loan review process for the commercial loan portfolio, o monitoring and reporting on compliance with commercial loan financial reporting and covenant testing requirements. • Participate in projects to create efficiencies in the commercial lending process and increase compliance with commercial lending portfolio management standards through optimal use and administration of business lending system solutions. • Assist Business Lending Officers with loan workout/resolution process through verification of collateral position and lien perfection, and working with outside legal counsel and agents to determine the best course of action for loan resolution, issuance of default letters, initiation of foreclosures, and coordination of activities related to liquidation of repossessed collateral to include auctions, real estate sales, etc. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or equivalent. • Successful completion of a comprehensive commercial credit analyst training program, including course work in CRE underwriting, leases, appraisals, loan structures and related risks, as well as analysis of operating companies, business and industry risk analysis, management assessment, financial accounting, balance sheet and income statement analysis, ratio analysis, cash cycle seasonality analysis, cash flow and repayment analysis. • Three (3) or more years of commercial lending, credit analysis or related activity. • Workout/problem loan management experience preferred but not required. Contact Center Supervisor

Position description: The Contact Center Supervisor (CCS) is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Contact Center. The incumbent is responsible for the team to provide quality service to the members while meeting set service level goals. The individual in this role acts as liaison between impacted members, agents, and other departments when applicable. This is an exempt position. Specific duties include: • Guides support staff with member interactions to offer product/service solutions on a call by call basis. • Assists in the on-going assessment of staff and participates in the interviews and assessments of new applicants into the department • Monitors and adjusts staff schedule to meet service and quality level department goals. • Provides phone coverage when needed to support service levels during peak periods and resolves member needs in a timely and effective fashion. • Communicates the resolution of system issues as identified by members and staff. • Communicates trends and important issues from member feedback when requested. • Fosters a team atmosphere and supports strategic initiatives of the department Coaches and develops member service representatives to provide quality service to all members. • Coordinates and oversees training for member service representatives. • . Staff Internal Auditor

Position Description: The staff internal auditor is responsible for the timely execution of risk-based internal audits in accordance with the annual audit plan, as well as assisting with other audit matters and projects. This responsibility includes developing internal audit scope, performing internal audit procedures, and preparing internal audit reports reflecting the results of the work performed under the guidance of the internal audit manager. Work performed will include coverage of functional and business areas focusing on financial, operational, and IT processes. This is an exempt position. Specific Duties Include: • Conduct risk assessments of the individual business areas considered of low to moderate complexity and identifies controls in place to mitigate identified risks. Defines audit scope and objectives for area to be audited. • Develop testing plans relevant to risk and test objectives and performs audit procedures to verify that controls are operating through testing and interviewing techniques. • Prepare quality written audit reports outlining strengths and weaknesses in the control environment and compliance with credit union goals, objectives, policy, procedures and applicable laws and regulations. • Deliver and communicate audit status, results and recommendations to business area management. • Maintains a working knowledge of developments in regulatory requirements, general accounting and audit; principles, professional standards, advancement and theory. • Some travel may be required Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in a specialty area such as accounting or business administration. • 1 – 3 years audit or financial institution experience. • Strong interpersonal skills including written and verbal communications. • Desire to obtain one or more relevant professional certifications (i.e., CIS, CISA, CPA) • Maintain a high degree of confidentiality. • Expertise in Microsoft office suite. Orientation Period for New NEFCU Employees

NEFCU has an orientation period for all new employees joining the company. New employees are subject to a standard 90-day orientation period. The orientation period is a period of time devoted to the evaluation of the employee in the new position. It is also a time for the employee to assess her or his aptitude and interest in the job.

NEFCU Business Casual Dress Code

We expect our employees to dress appropriately in business casual attire. Our goal is to provide a workplace that is professional, contemporary, and inclusive for all. Employees are expected to demonstrate good judgment and taste when selecting clothes to wear to work. All employees are expected to dress like they are going to interact with members, regardless of job title, function or office location. As a rule, clothing intended for the beach, yard work, dance clubs, exercising or sports activities are not appropriate for the workplace. If any of NEFCU’s dress code policies cause concerns based upon religion, disability or any other legally protected class, please contact a member of the Human Resources team to discuss and request an appropriate accommodation. Employees in violation of our dress code will be addressed individually and may be sent home to change, in which case time away from work will not be paid. Repeatedly disregarding the dress code will result in documented disciplinary actions.

Head to Toe – Contemporary, Business Casual Dress Code Guidelines

Hats are prohibited while at work. Headbands should be conservative in size and color.

Hair should be clean and styled. Hair coloring and highlights should be limited to colors naturally occurring such as brown, black, blonde, or red. Colors not naturally occurring, such as green, blue or pink, are not acceptable.

Visibility of body art, including tattoos and piercings, should be limited in nature. Excessive tattoos should be covered and facial and dermal piercings need to be removed while at work.

Shoes are expected to be clean and professional. Flip flops, sneakers, winter boots or rain boots are prohibited.

Leggings are only permitted when worn with a long, tunic style top or dress. Jeans are only permitted on special occasions during NEFCU sponsored “denim days”. Shorts are not permitted.

Clothing should be neat, clean, pressed and in good condition. Tight clothing or clothing that is too revealing is prohibited. Clothing should be free of words, terms, or graphics. Mainstream brand logos are generally acceptable.

Sweatshirts, sweatpants, wind or exercise pants are not appropriate. Cargo pants (pants with pockets on the sides of legs or pants which can be zipped off to become shorts) are not acceptable. T-shirts, tank tops, halter tops, midriff tops, or spaghetti straps should not be worn.

Dress and skirt length should be no more than two inches above the knee when standing.

Any NEFCU logo wear is generally accepted.
